Based on the classic Beetlejuice movie, which was released in 1988, this slot really does go the extra mile to ensure a somewhat concerning level of spookiness to players. When playing Beetlejuice Megaways, half of the board is covered with a slightly transparent cover, which allows players to get a glimpse of the symbols behind it. Should a combination appear on a payline, the matching symbols will disappear, with new icons into play to take their place.  

In addition to this, the other half of the board will open. This increases the number of paylines, giving players a better opportunity to match different symbols. Beetlejuice Megaways can be played with a minimum stake size of 0.10. 

When it comes to the featured symbols within Beetlejuice Megaways, the usual 10, J, Q, K, and A symbols make an appearance. After those, there are various characters within the movie. In order of desirability, there is head shrinker, Miss Argentina, Serpent Beetlejuice, and normal Beetlejuice. Should 5 of these symbols match, players will be awarded with 0.8x, 1.2x, 1.6x, 2x, and 5x their bet size, respectively. 

Wilds are represented by a white symbol with the corresponding written on top. There are also scatter symbols, shown as movie tickets, which are linked to the bonus. Finally, there is a ghost symbol, which can land on any initial spin. They will all turn into the same symbol after all icons have landed. One thing to mention is that ghost icons cannot appear after the first spin of a round, meaning that they cannot drop from cascades. 

If 3, 4, or 5 scatter symbols appear across any of the reels, players will be awarded with 8, 12, or 16 free spins. There are a couple of differences between the base game and the bonus, one of which is purely visual, as the player is taken to an entirely new board.   

In addition to this, a multiplier is added to the game, which will increase every time a matching combination is awarded to the player. This multiplier has no maximum either, while similar games tend to cap this feature at 15-20x. Finally, this multiple will be applied to each matching combination for the entirety of the free spins mode.
