Big Bass Bonanza Megaways

Big Bass Bonanza and its sequel Bigger Bass Bonanza are two of  Pragmatic Play partner studio Reel Kingdom's most popular games. And they’ve been joined by the Big Bass Bonanza Megaways, which was Pragmatic Play’s first venture in the ever-more popular Megaways slots genre.

Fans of the original will find this game very familiar visually, as almost nothing has been changed about the design except the grid. This has 5 reels, instead of the usual Megaways 6, but it does have the extra 4-position horizontal reel across the top. This setup produces a maximum of 46,656 if all the reels are fully loaded with symbols. But the rest of the game recreates the chill deep sea fishing experience of the first two.

The regular symbols on the reels are all the same as in the previous games, with 10-A card ranks as the low pays, and tackle boxes, lures, fishing rods, and a fishing float as the premiums. 

Fish symbols appear with random cash values, which can be collected in the Free Spins when a Fisherman lands to reel them in. 

The fishing boat Scatter is key to triggering the Free Spins. And last but not least, a fishing net Wild can appear on the top horizontal reel to help form possible wins.

The fish and fisherman collection system is another carry-over from the first two games in the series, but Big Bass Bonanza Megaways has a few unique features of its own to offer players.

Otherwise known as cascading reel, this will see all symbols involved in a win burst and disappear from the reels. The other symbols will tumble down, and new ones fall onto the reels from above, to fill the empty spaces. This will continue as long as new wins are formed.

Anyone who receives 3, 4, or 5 scatters triggers 10, 15, or 20 free spins. The first thing about the Fee Spins is that, fish symbols don't burst as part of the tumble feature. Instead, they fall to the bottom of the screen during the tumbles. And all fish symbols and their cash values are collected whenever a fisherman lands during the Free Spins.

Fisherman symbols are also collected in a meter beside the grid whenever they hit. If the metre hits four fisherman symbols, ten extra Free Spins and a fish symbol multiplier are awarded.

These are two great extra features that have been added to the Free Spins round. If the player lands one or two fisherman symbols and there are no fish on the reels for him to catch, one of two random features can trigger. The first is the Dynamite feature, which explodes random symbols off the reels and replaces them with fish. The other is the Bazooka, which will blow all the symbols except the fishermen away so new ones can replace them.
