Big Top Bonanza Megaways by Skywind Group takes us to the magical and unpredictable world of the circus. Skywind Group is not the biggest name in slot providers, but with games like Super Wolf and Book of Gems to their credit, my expectations for Big Top Bonanza Megaways were high. And I was not disappointed; I'm happy to report.

For a start, there are the incredible 200,704 possible paylines, which pushes the usual Megaways limit. And there is also an astonishing number of bonuses that can kick in at random. Not to mention one of my favourite features of Megaways slots; the cascading reels.

There’s one horizontal four-position reel on top of the 6-reel grid, and up to seven symbols can land on a reel on each spin. Players can join the Ringmaster and the other colourful circus characters in the big top for as little as 0.20 all the way up to 200 per spin. The maximum possible win on this medium volatility game is 5,000 x the bet.

The low-paying symbols are card ranks 10 to Ace and a clown's ball, and set of skittles. Premium symbols are all props from circus acts, 

The Ringmaster is the Wild, and while he controls the ring, he can only land on reels 2 to 6 on the grid. He doesn't give any payouts of his own but will help form wins by standing in for other symbols. The game’s logo acts as the Scatter to trigger the Free Spins.

Three other carny's can show up in the big top, appearing only on the top reel. These are the Clown, the Fortune Teller, and the Strongman, and when they do, the show takes off, as I'll explain below.

The circus is all about the unpredictable and the unexpected, and that’s exactly what the player gets when our performers put in an appearance. They will all trigger one of the following bonuses at random:

Awards either a multiplier of x 2, x 3 or x 5, a wild in the reel below his position, or can boost the number of ways to win, add 2 to 6 wilds or replaces all Jacks for Queens.

Can add two wilds in the reel below, grant a multiplier of x 5, x 8 or x 10, increase the paylines up to at least 15,625, award 3-9 wilds, or replaces all Jacks and Queens for Kings.

Will either fill the entire reel beneath with wilds, give a x 15, x 25 or x 50 multiplier, boost the paylines to the max, add 5 to 15 wilds, or replace all royal card ranks with Aces.

The Bonus Round triggers when there are 4, 5 or 6 scatters anywhere in view, awarding 10, 13 or 16 free spins, respectively. A progressive win multiplier increases by +1 for each cascade win during the Free Spins and doesn't reset between spins. The random bonuses can also kick in during this round and boost the multiplier even further, making for some significant win potential. Landing three or more Scatters during this round will win more Free Spins.
