Chilli Heat Megaways is based on Pragmatic Play's slot of the same name. All the symbols and features that made the original game so famous have made a comeback. And there are some new bonuses and twists to gameplay added thanks to BGT's Megaways Mechanism.

The grid has 6 reels, and a different number of symbols land on these on each spin. There’s also a 4 position horizontal reel at the top of the grid where regular and bonus symbols can land.

If all 6 reels land the maximum number of symbols, the grid produces 200,704 ways to win. Winning combinations are formed by landing three or more matching symbols on adjacent reels, starting from reel 1. Bet levels are between 0.20p and 100 per spin, and the maximum possible win is 5,000 x the bet.

The Chilli Heat logo is the Wild. This will substitute for everything apart from the money bags to help form wins, but can only land on reels 2 to 4.

In the original Chilli Heat slot, the action centred around the Respin feature, and the same is true in this game. But there are a couple of more bonuses the developers have thrown in for good measure.

After every winning combination, the Tumble feature kicks in. The winning symbols are blasted off the reels, the remaining symbols fall into their place, and new ones tumble onto the reels from the top. If another win is formed, the process repeats.

Landing 6 or more of the money symbols anywhere on the reels on one spin triggers the Respin feature. The money bags stick, and the player is awarded three respins with all the regular symbols removed from the grid. The number of positions active during the Respins will be the same as on the triggering. The respins start with both reels 1 and 6 locked.

If a new money symbol lands, it also sticks, and the respins reset to 3. There are also some special symbols that can land on the horizontal bonus reel that will have a considerable effect on the outcome of the Respins:

The Up Down arrow expands the reel below to the maximum seven symbols.

The Circle Down Arrow collects the values attached to the money bag symbols in the reel below and adds them to the total win.

The Square Down Arrow collects the values attached to all the money bags in view and adds them to the total.

X in Circle multiplies the money bag values on the reel below by 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x.

X in Square multiplies all the money bag values on the grid by 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x.

At the end of the Respins, the cash value of all money bags with any multipliers is collected and added to the total of any prizes already collected to calculate the final win.

Impatient players can double their chances of triggering the Respins at a cost of 25% of their stake by clicking the Ante Bet button beside the grid.
