Invaders Megaways

Invaders Megaways by SG Digital is a tongue-in-cheek sci-fi-themed game powered by BTG's Megaways engine. Think something along the lines of Rick and Morty Megaways by Blueprint.

With a Space Invaders feel, there are enough crop circles, ray guns, aliens and strange, mysterious happenings to keep the most ardent X-files fans amused. Set in ET central, the Corn Belt of the US, we can see a farmhouse with mysterious graffiti and crop circles galore. Cryptic messages from an alien civilization, perhaps?

The soundtrack, with its strange beeps and otherworldly buzzes, also adds to the atmosphere of this high volatility game. You can begin your hunt for UFOs from as little as 0.25 all the way up to 10.

Between 2 and 7 symbols can land on each of the six reels. And possibly more when some of the many great bonuses are triggered, creating up to an incredible 1,000,000 ways to win. The symbols themselves are 9-A royals, a ray-gun, a levitating cow, an alien, a scientist and the game's logo.

There's no regular Wilds in this alien universe, but players will still get help forming wins from the little UFO that floats across the top of the grid, but more about that later.

The Red Planet is the Scatter. Landing 4, 5, or 6 of these triggers 7, 10, or 15 Free Spins, respectively. Landing three or more Scatters during the Free Spins will award extra spins to the player.

And we can't forget the Uni-cow. This incredible creature is the result of decades of bovine-based experiments by our extraterrestrial friends and can beam down onto the reels at any stage in the base game, with incredible effect.

One feature that Invaders Megaways has in common with other Megaways slots is the cascading reels mechanism. For those of you who don’t already know, this will explode all symbols involved in a win off the reels, and new ones will cascade down to fill the empty spaces. The process repeats as long as the wins keep coming.

Across the top of the grid, there's a ribbon with all the symbols displayed. On each spin, a UFO flies across this and parks on one at random. If that symbol is present on reels 2 and 5, it gets zapped by a ray gun and turned Wild.

When the Uni-cow appears, all the reels land between 7 and 10 symbols, which can result in the grid featuring up to a staggering 1,000,000 ways to win!

During the Free Spins, as well as Scatters adding more to the total, there are some other great features. At the start of each spin, one of the premium symbols is selected at random, triggering the modifier attached as follows:

All logo symbols expand to cover the entire reel.

Doubles the multiplier on every cascade until it reaches 256 x, or the wins stop coming, whichever happens first..

Every time an Alien lands, it boosts the height of its reel and the adjacent ones.

Each cow symbol that lands splits and turns into 2 Wilds..

The ray gun blasts a Wild onto the reels, unless it lands during a cascade.

This makes for some swirling, fast-paced action during the Free Spins as a different modifier is kicking in on each spin!

The action is non-stop in Invaders Megaways, with "a feature on every spin", just as SG Digital claims. Just remember that getting abducted by aliens might make for a great story down the pub, but you can't make a living from it.
