NSYNC POP Slot

Play’n Go has gone with the 90s boy band N-SYNC for their latest branded slot. Some might think this is a strange choice, but the features alone should attract players even if the music doesn’t.

The game is played on a five-reel diamond-shaped grid, with two, three, and four rows. There are 144 paylines crossing this grid in the base game, but in the Free Spins, you can unlock up to 2,400 ways to win. Bets start at 0.10 and go up to 100 per spin.

There's nothing N-SYNC related about the lower-paying symbols on the reels. These are the usual card ranks from Jack to Ace. The highest payouts you can get from these are between 0.6 x and 1 x times your stake for a combination of 5.

We see this is a branded slot when we get to the higher paying symbols, which are made up of the band members themselves. Justin Timberlake, as the frontman, is the highest paying, with a maximum payout of 10 x your stake for five of a kind. The rest of the band members pay a max of between 6 and 8 times the stake for 5, depending on their relative popularity.

The Wild features the band together and can stand in for all other symbols except the Scatter, which is a large letter N. A mystery purple Pop symbol can appear on the reels during the base game as well as the Free Spins round.

Pop Feature

The Pop feature triggers randomly during the base game. Purple Symbols land on the reels and pop to reveal a matching symbol at the end of the spin. This can be any of the regular symbols from the high and low ends of the paytable, but not a Scatter.

Three Scatter across reels 2, 3, and 4 trigger the Free Spins round. This starts with 8 Free Spins. During these, a row is added to the top and the bottom of the reels. The positions on these are locked with Pop symbols. Landing more Pop symbols on the reels will unlock the corresponding extra positions, and all three Pop symbols will burst to reveal the same symbol. The position stays open, and when you unlock all of them, you're playing on a grid that offers 2,400 ways to win.

A Wild Pop symbol can also appear during Free Spins and burst to reveal a Wild that sticks for the rest of the Free Spins.

Opening all 10 of the extra positions on the reels during the Free Spins will earn you an Encore! This is one additional spin after the Free Spins with only the high-paying band members and sticky Wilds on the reels.
