Stallion Strike

The Stallion Strike online slot by Playtech partner studio, Ash Gaming, uses a 6x5 to produce 15,625 ways to win. Prizes are awarded for three or more matching symbols anywhere on adjacent reels from left to right. And the highest-paying symbol, the Stallion, pays out for just two. 

It's an exciting game, with a very well thought out special feature, but design-wise, it looked like the Ash Gaming developers couldn't agree over the theme and reached some weird compromise. 

The low pays are unsurprising enough, 9 to A card ranks, but then, out of nowhere, four birds, two eagles, and two owls, appear as premiums. The most valuable symbol is a black stallion with a golden mane and glowing golden eyes. The betting range is between 0.10 and 100.00 for the total bet per spin. 

The diamond Wild can appear on any reel and will stand in for other symbols to help form winning combinations. 

The Scatter is a golden horseshoe and triggers between 12 and 50 Free Spins when three to six land. The number of triggering Scatters will also affect the win potential of the round, as I'll explain below. 

In the base game, any of the regular symbols can land surrounded by a glowing blue circle. These are charged symbols and turn their positions into a Power Zone. More than one charged symbol can land per spin. Any adjacent Power Zone will link together to create one big one. The Power Zones remain on the grid until another charged symbol lands in one, transforming all the symbols inside it into matches, which can lead to some big wins. 

Scatters involved in triggering the Free spins in Stallion Strike turn their positions into Power Zone for the duration of the round. New Power Zones continue to be created as in the base game. Gameplay is also the same as the base game, except more Free Spins are awarded for just two Scatters, with unlimited retriggers. 

One more boost to the Free Spins win potential is the last spin in the round, called the Mega Spin. At the end of the spin, all Power Zones created will display the same randomly chosen symbol. 

Stallion Strike might not hold together very well in terms of visuals, but that doesn't detract from the gameplay.
