Wheel of Fortune Power Wedges

IGT is making full use of its Wheel of Fortune branding agreement, with this being, by my count, at least, the thirteenth slot in the series. But we're not complaining, as every one features something a bit different in terms of gameplay, as well as the all-important Wheel of Fortune round.  

Wheel of Fortune: Power Wedges has a  5x4 with both 40 paylines and 1,024 ways to win thanks to IGT's trademark MultiwayXtra feature. Players can form wins by landing three or more symbols across one of the paylines, or four or more anywhere on adjacent reels. And payouts for line wins are much higher than for ways wins. 

The symbols themselves are J to A card ranks at the start of the paytable, then the game logo, a registration plate, private jet, yacht and sports car. The betting range is from 0.10 to 1,000.00 per spin. 

The Wild just says WILD and does the usual thing of substituting for all the regular symbols to help form wins.

The Free Spins are triggered when two or more of the Scatter are in view on reel three. Two or more of the Wheel Bonus landing on reel three trigger the Wheel of Fortune feature, and three or more also award a payout.

The Power Wedges bonus is active on every spin in the base game. This randomly selects any symbol except the Wild to land stacked for that spin, which can go a long way towards forming some winning combinations. 

The Free Spins trigger with 7, 10 or 20 Free Spins for 2, 3 or 4 Scatters on reel three. These can be retriggered by landing more Scatters during the round, and a total of 130 Free Spins can be awarded in one round.

Two or more Wheel Bonus symbols on reel three award one spin of the Wheel and the chance to win cash prizes, the Jackpot Bonus or Pointer Frenzy. 

This latter awards one more spin with 2 to 6 extra wheel pointers. The Jackpot Bonus gives one spin of the Jackpot Wheel with a maximum win of 10,000x the stake up for grabs.

The Wheel of Fortune round always adds an extra bit of excitement to these games, but even without it, Wheel of Fortune Power Wedges is a great game. The Power Wedges feature and the double paytable keep it interesting even if there are no special features active in the Free Spins.
