Wild Link Frenzy

The newest game in the Wild Link series, the Wild Link Frenzy slot is set in the picturesque Alaskan wilderness. And as the name suggests, it’s themed around fishing. There’s a rugged, bearded fisherman Wild, who can hook the player with some really big potential prizes in the Wild Link feature, and also a bonus Pick Feature that can award one of four fixed jackpots.

SpinPlay Games, the developer, has obviously looked to Reel Play’s iconic Fishing Frenzy for inspiration, but the studio has also added a few twists of its own, including an expanding grid that can see up to 6 extra rows and 30 paylines added to the 5x3 grid

There are two Wilds in the game, one is a picturesque view of the mountain fishing stream. This can land on reels 2 to 5 to help form line wins by standing in for the regular symbols. A Fisherman Wild can land on reel 1. This will also help form line wins, including Wild line wins, which pay up to 10x the bet for five on a payline. But more importantly, the Fisherman Wild triggers the Wild Link feature, which you can read about below. 

The Scatter is a fishing reel and triggers the Free Spins round when three or more land on the grid. There are also fish symbols with cash values attached landing on the reels. These don’t give line wins for combinations, but once the Wild Link feature is triggered, pliers will want to see as many of them landing as possible.

When a Fisherman Wild symbol lands on reel 1 it will nudge to fill the entire reel, and trigger the Wild Link feature. This can add up to 3 extra rows above reels 2-5 and up to 6 extra rows during the Free Spins.  Each extra row adds another 5 paylines to the grid. All fish symbols, and their cash values that land on adjacent reels, starting from reel 2 are collected, and Wilds can stand in for the fish symbols to keep the link going. There’s also the chance that a random multiplier of x2 or x3 will be applied to the bonus win at the end of the feature. 

After any base game spin or Wild Link feature, but not during the Free Spins, the Pick feature can randomly trigger. Here, the player tries to find three matching symbols to win the respective prize. There are four available, the Mni worth 20x the total bet, the Minor, worth 50x, the Major, worth 500x. And the Mega, which will award the lucky player 5,000x the total bet.

10 Free Spins are awarded when 3 Scatter symbols land. During this round, the Fisherman Wild is collected after he triggers the Wild Link feature, which can see the grid expand by up to 6 rows with 50 active paylines. Collect four of the Wilds, and another 10 Free Spins are added to the round, and the win multiplier is increased.
