The Wild Wild Riches slot is an Irish-themed game with a total of 576 paylines on the 5-reel grid. We're used to seeing online slots with all sorts of different paylines, from 10 or lower up to the one million offered by some Megaways slots. But 576 is not a number you come across that often in this context.

So how did the developer, Pragmatic Play do it? We hear you ask. Simple, they used a 5-reel grid with 3 rows on the first 2 reels, and 4 on the remaining 3. This novel grid set-up also appears on Wild Wild Bananas by the same developer.

For symbols, the game uses card-suit precious stones as the low-pays. The maximum payout a player can land from these is just 0.60x the bet for a full line of 5 Spades. The premiums are a little more interesting and rewarding, with a mushroom, a pipe, a horseshoe tied up in green ribbon, a harp, and a mug of beer. Payouts for these start at 0.16x the bet for three mushrooms and go up to 8x the bet for five matching beer symbols on a payline. 

And apart from the grid, the big draw of this game is a Cash Collect feature which can award prizes on any spin, including three fixed jackpots.

The Wild is a Celtic symbol with the word WILD across it. This does the normal Wild thing of standing in for all regular symbols to help form line wins, and can also contribute to the bonus features, as we’ll see in a minute. However, the Wild can only land on the first 2 reels.

The Scatter is a leprechaun’s top hat. This can only land on the middle reel and needs the help of the Wild to trigger the Free Spins round. Pots of Gold can also land on reels 3, 4, and 5. These are Cash symbols which can be collected in both the base game and Free Spins when the right combination of symbols hit. 

The Cash symbols come with random cash values of between 1x and 25x the bet or jackpot values of 50x, 100x and 500x the bet, attached. These can land on any spin but can only be collected when there is a Wild on both reels 1 and 2. But even then, it is not so easy. The Wilds + Cash symbols have to form a combination on a payline for the player to be awarded the Cash or jackpot values attached. 

Two Wilds on reels 1 and 2, and a Scatter on reel 3 will win the player 10 Free Spins. During the round, more Cash symbols and Wilds are guaranteed to land, and the round can be retriggered with the same combination of symbols as in the base game. This will add another ten spins to the total, and there is no limit on retriggers, where you'll be able to trigger the Money Collect feature on each spin. If you manage to hit two wilds and a bonus symbol on any spin, you'll get ten more free spins.

The Ante Bet option, which is only available in certain jurisdictions, doubles the chances of the Free Spins triggering for a cost of 20% of the bet. 

Wild Wild Riches is an exciting slot to play, thanks to the odd-shaped grid and Cash Collect system.
