Fluffy Favourites Megaways

Eyecon is not the biggest name in the world of online gambling, but the developer has been steadily churning out slots since 1999, like Secret Garden, Enchanted Prince and Shaman's Dream. With Fluffy Favourites Megaways, it has revisited an old classic from 2006 and given it a makeover with Big Time Gaming's Megaways mechanic. 

It's back to the fair we go, where we find the six reel grid set against a backdrop of fairground tents. Two to seven symbols can land on each reel on every spin, and combine with the four position horizontal reel at the top of the grid to produce up to 117,649 ways to win. 

The reels are inhabited by the almost unbearably cute stuffed toys from the original, a fish, duck, rhino, horse, turtle, lion, panda and gorilla. These all give prizes for three or more of a kind on adjacent reels, starting from the outside left one. The two most valuable symbols, a dragon and a hippo, will give payouts for combos of two or more. The maximum possible payout for six of these symbols ranges from 0.50 x up to 50 x the bet.

The Claw is the Wild symbol and can boost players' winnings not only by standing in for other symbols, but more about that below. It only lands on the top, horizontal reel. 

Don't worry when you see the pink elephant landing on the reels; it's not some sweetness-induced hallucination but the game's Scatter. At least three are needed to trigger the Free Spins. This awards nine spins, four will get twelve, five award fifteen, and six scatters give the lucky player eighteen free Spins.

The Cascade bonus feature is active in both the base game and the Free Spins round. After every win, all the symbols involved pop and disappear from the reels. The empty positions are filled by the remaining symbols and new ones that cascade down from the top of the grid. This can lead to new wins, and the reactions will continue as long as the winning combinations keep coming. Even better is that the multiplier increases by + 1 after each cascade win. In the base game, this resets between spins. 

Whenever a claw Wild contributes to forming a win, it drops to the bottom of the screen to scoop up a random multiplier of anywhere between 1 x and 5 x the bet. If more than one Wild trigger wins on the same spin, the multipliers they collect are multiplied by each other, up to a max of 625 x.

The Free Spins start when at least three Scatters land anywhere in view on the grid. The main difference between this bonus round and the base game is that the cascade win multiplier doesn’t reset between spins. Two more Free Spins are added to the total for every Scatter that lands during the bonus round.

It's nice to see the toys graphics get an upgrade after so many years, and they look all the better for it. The game's theme won't appeal to all players, but nobody will object to the maximum possible win of 20,000 x the bet this medium volatility game offers. The cascades keep the action moving along nicely, and waiting for those Wild multipliers to hit also adds excitement.
