Reel Lucky King Megaways is the latest instalment in Inspired Gaming’s series. This one is Irish-themed, although not in an over-the-top way. In fact, the soundtrack is the most Irish thing about it.  

It's a highly volatile game with a betting range from 0.20 to 20. The game grid has 6 reels which can land between two and seven symbols each on every spin. There's also a four-position horizontal reel above the main grid, producing 324 to 117,649 ways to win.

Reel King slots always do things a little differently when it comes to symbols, and this one is no exception. The low-paying symbols are all fruit, cherries, plums and watermelons. Then come card ranks, 9 to Ace. The most valuable of these, the Ace awards a max of 7.5 x the bet for six. The highest paying symbol, the pot of gold, awards between 2 x and 50 x the bet for combinations of 2 to 6. Payouts on all other symbols start with combinations of three. 

The horseshoe is Wild and will stand in for all the other symbols to help form winning combinations. There is no Scatter in the game since Free Spins are triggered by the Reel King feature. 

The first bonus in Reel Lucky King Megaways is the cascading reels feature. After every win, the symbols involved disappear from the reels, and others cascade down from the top to fill all the empty spaces. And the process repeats until no more combinations land. 

If you've played a Reel King slot before, you'll know that the lit reels are central to gameplay. A random number of reels can light up after any spin, along with the familiar "ding" sound. This lights up the Reel King trail to the left of the grid. Any cascade win also lights up one reel, and once all six have been turned yellow, the Reel King feature triggers.

During this, Reel Kings holding mini-slots appear on the screen. These spin to award cash prizes or move the player along the trail towards the Free Spins. When any of the Reel Kings lands a losing combination, they disappear from the screen, and the feature ends when they're all gone. If the Free Spins have been triggered, these come next. Otherwise, it's straight back to the base game. 

The number of Reel Kings that appear and Free Spins that can be won depend on which round the player reached on triggering the feature:

Reel King – 1 to 2 Reel Kings + 8 to 15 free spins.

Super King – 2 to 3 Reel Kings + 8 to 20 free spins.

Lucky King – 3 to 6 Reel Kings + 8 to 25 free spins.

If the Free Spins trigger anything less than 25, the player can gamble to try and win more. And as a final bonus, there's the Spin Chance. If the player's balance is less than the bet level, they can gamble it by spinning a wheel to win one final spin.

Reel Lucky Kings Megaways is just what you'd expect from a Reel Kings slot, and fans will not be disappointed.
